I post book reviews as often as possible but at least once a week every Wednesday! I hope they help you to find some new books that you'll love as much as I did!
Whilst I mostly enjoyed this book, I must say that I found it to be a little rushed in places. Considering its title, one would expect the plot to be focused more on the murder and yet it seemed to skip over it and instead concentrate on other areas. I felt that the conclusion and the wrapping up of the 'whodunnit' was rather too short and I was left with questions, which I felt could've easily been answered and added a lot to the book.
I liked the characters and I felt that each had their own intriguing story, however there may have been a benefit to delving into them on a slightly deeper level. I would have loved to be able to explore Flora's past, for example.
On the whole though, I did enjoy reading this. I'd recommend it as a nice, light read for when you want something different from a classic murder mystery. It took me about 3-4 hours to read as it's shorter than most other books I've read. I have to give the author credit for this though, considering the length of the book, a lot was packed into it.
I would give this 3.5 out of 5. I really just wanted more of a closure on the murder, although I did like the epilogue.
This e-book was provided to me free in exchange for an honest review.
