Welcome!
I post book reviews as often as possible but at least once a week every Wednesday! I hope they help you to find some new books that you'll love as much as I did!
Today is my stop on the Blog Tour for Exile by James Swallow! Thank you to Imogen for organising it. Don't forget to check out the other stops!
The Synopsis
A vicious Serbian gang whose profits come from fake nuclear weapons.
A disgraced Russian general, with access to the real thing. A vengeful Somali warlord, with a cause for which he'd let the world burn. A jaded government agency, without the information to stop him. Only one man sees what's coming. And even he might not be able to prevent it . . . My Review
Preceded by Nomad last year, Exile is the second book in the Marc Dane series. After reading this pulse-racing action thriller, I can see why James Swallow has been a hit.
I think Exile can be read just fine without reading Nomad first, as I didn't feel at a disadvantage not having read the first book in the series and think that Exile works on its own. However, after reading reviews from fellow bloggers who have read Nomad, I think it would be worthwhile to read both books if you have time because they mentioned that Exile builds upon the Marc Dane world which was first created in Nomad and therefore gives a greater understanding of the characters and plot. Speaking of the plot, I thought it was fantastic and is aided by the setting which is richly described and vividly brought to life. While the book is quite a long one at 485 pages, it's well-paced so it didn't drag and it held my attention throughout. Overall, I'm giving Exile 4 out of 5. There's lots of action, lots of secrets and lots of unexpected twists. I look forward to the next book in the series. Exile launches in paperback on December 28th!

Great review Misti! It's so great to hear that even though it's a long book it doesn't drag on and it's well-paced!

Thanks Nikola! :) I was a little daunted by the length at first but it turned out not to be an issue at all! :) Thanks for stopping by! :)
