Welcome!
I post book reviews as often as possible but at least once a week every Wednesday! I hope they help you to find some new books that you'll love as much as I did!
What a delightful book this was. Scattered with humour and charming characters it maintained a light-hearted feel whilst still engaging the reader in the mysteries of the Sherry Gang and Turpin incidents. With plenty of twists and turns, the book was able to keep me reading and guessing the whole way through.
The ending was a very satisfying one with the conflicts being resolved in a beautiful and unexpected way. Miss Seeton is an endearing lady, who as the book progresses, you love more and more and you feel as though she's your Aunt Em too. All the characters have something about them which makes you connect with the book, and even The Nuts with their nosey ways and conspiracy theories, start to grow on you because Plummergen wouldn't be the same without them. Although occasionally the narrative would go into a little too much description, the book was overall a pleasure to read. I give it 4.5 out of 5 and definitely recommend reading it for a light-hearted mystery. There are many other books in the Miss Seeton series and I will definitely be seeking them out because if they are anything like this one, they'll be worth the read.
