Welcome!
I post book reviews as often as possible but at least once a week every Wednesday! I hope they help you to find some new books that you'll love as much as I did!
The SynopsisWhat if you found out that you'd been married to a stranger? Nuala and James had the perfect relationship. They were young and in love, and so Nuala never questioned why James forbade her from contacting his family... and why he told her never, ever to visit the place he was from. But now James is dead and Nuala is alone, without the husband she worshipped. Grieving and desperate, she decides to ignore his warning. Nuala is about to find out that some secrets are better left buried. And that uncovering the dark truth about the man she married will have terrible consequences... My ReviewNever Go There is definitely one of the darkest novels I've read this year! From the beginning, the descriptions are vivid and detailed and the slightly slower pace lends itself well to gradually building up the suspense, of which I felt there was a lot of throughout this book. I found the writing style engaging and I liked how the perspectives went between Nuala, Emma and Maggie. For me, this made things even more intriguing and kept me on my toes. While I didn't particularly support any of the characters, this didn't affect the book for me at all. The final twist was certainly shocking and brilliantly done, because I wasn't expecting it in the slightest! As previously mentioned, this is a very dark read and I do see how for some people it could be a little too depressing, but I read it with breaks in between and in the sunshine, which I'd recommend if possible, so that it doesn't make you feel too depressed and you can then enjoy the book fully. Overall, I'm giving Never Go There 4 out of 5. It's dark, shocking, and intriguing. The above are affiliate links. This book was provided free in exchange for an honest review. About the AuthorRebecca Tinnelly lives amongst the twisted sessile oaks of the Somerset coast with her two children and two cats. No doubt fuelled by the stories she was told by her stepmother, a consultant pathologist, Rebecca is most interested in writing about the darker side of society and family life. Never Go There is her debut novel.

Ha! Guess what I’m reading right now (well I already finished it). I loved this one, but then I’m always drawn to dark and tragic novels. This one belongs in the line with Gillian Flynn’s novels in tone and feel ❤️ Great review lovely! Happy to see you enjoyed it as well!
