Welcome!
I post book reviews as often as possible but at least once a week every Wednesday! I hope they help you to find some new books that you'll love as much as I did!
Today is my stop on the blog tour for Where The Missing Go! Thank you so much to Alex for organising the tour. Don't forget to check out the rest of the stops! The SynopsisMY NAME IS KATE. I volunteer at a missing persons helpline - young people who have run away from home call me and I pass on messages to their loved ones, no questions asked. I don't get many phone calls, and those I do are usually short and vague, or pranks. But today a girl named Sophie called. I'm supposed to contact her parents to let them know their child is safe. The problem is, Sophie isn't safe. AND SOPHIE IS MY DAUGHTER. My ReviewWhere The Missing Go had me really intrigued before I had even opened the book due to the brilliant blurb and I loved it the minute I read the first page. I really liked the way the pace gradually built up, going from a slightly slower start at the beginning to allow you to process the detail and background information and then picking up as it moved towards the action. This worked well for me and I felt the pace always suited the book perfectly. I read this in just a few days because I could barely put it down. It was so gripping and the twists just kept coming, every single one was fantastically written. I thought the plot was really memorable, with well-developed characters and some emotional themes which were handled well. Overall, I'm giving Where The Missing Go 4.5 out of 5. It's gripping, memorable, and full of twists. I really enjoyed it. The above are affiliate links. This book was provided for free in exchange for an honest review.
